Decentralized Finance is a new term describing crypto currency related financial products and protocols. Oddly high returns ranging from 10% to 3000% or more have been made possible, and everyone under the decentralized world is equaled and qualified for all financial products. Nonetheless, as it might seem too good to be true, there are a number of unprecedented risks which may lead to completely loss of fund.
If you are not willing to bear the risks of the decentralized world but still wants a higher gain with cryptocurrencies, YouHolder is one of the platforms with 12% APR guaranteed that I…
In this tutorial, I will first introduce some background information on smart glasses. Then, by using a hackathon project example, I will walk you through the entire progress from setting up the smart glass to wirelessly mirroring the display screen, building, and installing any application on it.
Disclaimer: This article serves as a reference for you to have a picture of how it’s like to work with smart glasses. I am using Mad Gaze as the device because this is the only usable glass I can borrow from my lab. No commercial deal to promote any product here.

My co-founder and I was invited to The UC Berkeley Blockchain Lab as visiting researchers from this March to July. Prior to this, we are both Taiwanese students studying in Hong Kong. Thus, with our diverse cultural background, we have many interesting findings in terms of the differences between the blockchain community in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Hope this article can help anyone who has a dream to join Berkeley Blockchain Lab someday or simply want to know the differences between these communities! :)
We were in the “Visiting Researcher Program” at Berkeley Blockchain Lab…
This is a walkthrough of the 26 pages technical whitepaper of Move, Facebook Libra’s new programming language. As an Ethereum developer and a blockchain community enthusiast, I hope to provide a quick overview and highlights of the paper for everyone curious about this new language :)
Hope that you will like it, happy learning!
Move is an executable bytecode language used to implement custom transactions and smart contracts.
There’re two things to take note:
Ever since I published the tutorial series “Beginner’s guide to blockchain/Ethereum” in 2017, it has been so rewarding to me in a wide variety of aspects. Also, as I have received more and more client requests for EOS projects in my own blockchain consulting startup, TuringChain, I have thus decided to start writing tutorials again for beginners in EOS.
I’m using mac. If you encounter any problem, please kindly let me know in the comments so I can update it accordingly :)
Hope that you will like it, happy hacking!
Before we start exploring EOS, there are a few things…
Jeff Hu XD
2. Mason GRE
5. Mason GRE
ETHSanFrancisco was held on October 5 with 1000 hackers selected worldwide for a non-stop 36 hours of developing innovative solutions with the Ethereum blockchain. In addition, San Francisco Blockchain Week (SFBW), a week of numerous tech talks and workshops on blockchain, and the Bitcoin Cash hackathon were also held right after this. Blockchain enthusiasts such as myself thus see this as a must-go event that worths traveling all the way from Taiwan for.
I’d like to share what I’ve learned from this special experience, especially the workshops during the hackathon, the Cross Chain Atomic Swap project our team built(which luckily…
This would be my first article sharing mostly my thoughts and learnings based on my working experiences in startups and big companies like Microsoft, and two hot topic in computer science, AI and Blockchain. I hope to provide insights through comparing and contrasting by having practical experiences.
I would also like to summarize and document my thinking process of making the choice which I have struggled for the past month.
Last summer, for a university research project, I started to become interested in and learn Blockchain because of its novelness concepts and the cool name. However, even though I later…
